Open the Door to Intimacy and Power - Knowing God's contract Names

Satan has caused an unsuspecting church to adopt his days and names of false gods to keep them from advent to know the true God intimately by studying His contract names and their meanings (Read more about this in the upcoming book, Bible Code Broken! -- The Truth about the Christian Sabbath, soon available at Mill City Press, Minneapolis). God's covenants and His names are intimately related. The Sabbath opens the door to insight His contract names and to intimacy with Him.

Moses is a good example of a man of God with a literal mountaintop sense of intimacy with God. The circumstances of His calling at the burning bush demonstrate a principle that explains why the Sabbath allows us to know God intimately straight through His names. We can read the story in Exodus 3.

Like many who have not yet walked on holy ground, Moses was in a fleshly attitude when he saw the supreme bush. He did not comprehend at first that this miracle was from God (Ex. 3:3).

Then Jesus spoke to him from the bush and told him to take off his sandals since the area around the bush was holy ground. God's proximity permeated that ground, just as His proximity fills the Sabbath day. The sandals represented walking the way of the world. Taking them off meant disposing of the covering world to come into the proximity of a holy God.

The Christian world has not yet been blessed to understand that the Sabbath is holy like that ground in which God's proximity dwelt. We have been walking like the world and trampling down God's holy Sabbath (Isa. 58:13).

When Moses took his dirty sandals off his feet, he began to be aware of God's proximity and holiness and to be in awe of this holy God (Ex. 3:6). Something spectacular, happened that will also take place when we cease treating the Sabbath as an ordinary day. God is calling us to holy ground, as it were, to share a holy time with Him so He can recap Himself to us. As we stand in awe of Him on that holy ground, we will open the door to the kind of awesome revelation Moses received.

What was that revelation? It is the same described in Exodus 31:13. The Sabbath was to be a perpetual covenant, the first one revealed to Adam, and a sign in the middle of God and the believers that "you may know that I am [the Eternal, the I Am] who sanctifies you [makes you holy]."

God's words to Moses when he took his shoes off holy ground were quite similar. He told Moses: "I Am Who I Am..." (Ex. 3:14). He revealed many other of His names to Moses, but Yhvh or Yahweh or Yehovah was His "memorial-name" that showed He was the Eternal One who dwelt covering of time and could do anyone we required of Him agreeing to His covenants.

The knowledge of God's ten covenants and His many names has eluded a church who has broken His Ten Commandments by profaning the fourth one (James 2:10). The church will only gain the intimacy and power it desires when it begins to recognize what God calls holy ground or holy time.

Makkadesh ("the [Eternal] who sanctifies you") is not the only name God reveals in His Sabbaths. It is only representative of all His names that join together us to a holy God on His holy day. The Sabbath connects us to all God's covenants and all His names that we can call on to make us more like Him -- the goal of our existence and the surmise for the Sabbath.

In the healing book we discussed some of the redemptive names of God. His contract names are a vast subject on which we will only touch briefly here. We discovered many of these names by keeping the Day of Trumpets, an annual Sabbath that we will cover in the next book. While these names have greater power when used with the rod of Jesus released on that day, we can still claim these names in claiming our contract possession in prayer.

Names of Intimacy and Power

The words written in many of the verses of Exodus 3 to Exodus 14 recap names of God that we can use to call on His help in time of need. The blend of calling on God to remember His covenants with us and claiming the appropriate name of God for our situation is a grand way of invoking God's aid. These claims do not have near as much power when disconnected with the Sabbath covenant, the first contract with man that opens the power of all the others. The names intensify that power.

We must first understand that in Genesis God reveals Himself as a house called Elohim, a house of creator Gods into which He calls us (Gen. 1:26-27). That is the house name and the church name, the church of God. The personal names of God, however, are more powerful, intimate and anointed.

The three members of the Triune Godhead have three confident personalities and are separate Beings. The word echad ("one" -- Deut. 6:4) denotes unity, not one Being. All three, the Father Agape (Love), Jesus the Word who became the Son and the Holy Spirit are all eternal and thus all can be called Yehovah or the Eternal One, the I Am. Using their personal names, however, allows us great intimacy and anointing.

Our Father calls us all by name, and even has a extra new name ready for each of us (Rev. 2:17). He expects us to call Him by name, which the title "Lord" or "the Lord" does not allow us to do. While we are to honor Jesus as Adonai or Kurios or as Divine master and consummate Commander, he wants us to be intimate with Him by calling Him by His name, Jesus. Calling Him by His Hebrew name at times opens up all the conceptual meanings of that name, Yeshua -- much more than plainly the concept of salvation or Savior.

While we may hear at times the Father's voice or the voice of Jesus in our spirits, our principle teacher is the Holy Spirit. While He is called Yahweh or the Eternal, He is not our Divine master in the way Jesus is. Today many use the generic title "Lord" to refer to all three members of the Trinity. They confuse Yahweh, the Eternal, with Adonai, both incorrectly translated "Lord" or "Lord" respectively in most translations of the Bible.

In our songs of praise and in our prayers, the three members of the Godhead love to hear their names. By using their personal names, we show our desire to be intimate with them. Those names have extra importance in the context of the day of intimacy, the Sabbath.

The Names Revealed in Exodus

A loving, intimate God reveals His redemptive love and power in the Sabbath, which pictures Him rescuing us out of our "Egypt" or time of sin (Deut. 5:15). It is no coincidence therefore that He reveals His names, together with His redemptive ones, in Exodus. In Exodus 13 and 14 seven names of God emerge: the Eternal God my Shalom, my Shabbat or Rest, Yeshua, Savior, Salvation, Accomplisher, Defender, Vengeance.

Beginning in Exodus 3, more names are revealed to recap Yehovah, or the Eternal One: my Holy God (Ex. 3:5); my creator Father and my contract (3:6); my Prosperity and my Adjudication, which means God will personally defend us in His righteous judgments in the court of heaven (3:7); my Deliverer, Power and Answerer (3:8); my Relief (3:9); my consummate Commander (3:10); my Sustainer, True Sign (3:12); my Fullness, acknowledge to all my needs, provider (3:14 paraphrased -- "I am anyone or whoever you need Me to be"); my God of Forever, Guide (3:15); my God of inheritance (3:17); my Anointer (3:18, giving us the words to say and the power to say them); my Hand of Correction, Tower (3:20); my Enricher (3:21); my Plunderer of Enemies (3:22).

Exodus 4 gives more: my Belief, my One who comes, my "Empowerer" (4:5); my Chooser, Seer (4:22-23).

Chapter 5 adds the name, my Celebration (5:1), but how can we call Him that if we do not celebrate with Him at His times of celebration?

"I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments," God says in Exodus 6:6. We can thus call Him "my Redeemer and my Administrator of judgments." As we will see more powerfully in the sequel, Jesus is our Burden-lifter (6:7). He is also our Rewarder (6:8).

Exodus 7 continues the revelation: my Eternal God of hosts (7:4); my Revealer of Truth (7:7); my Commander of Serpents (including snaky Satan) and King of kings (7:9-12); the Eternal God of the Hebrews (7:16); the Water of Life, Giver of Life, Commander of Death (7:17).

In chapter 8, we see the God of serving, increase, restraining and binding (8:1-2); My God of boundaries (setting limits and limiting Satan, 8:22); God of the walls (8:23).

Another aspect of God's character is highlighted in Exodus 9. He is the God of distinction, wanting His people to be the same (standing out above the others, higher, set apart, honored, majestic, the God of gods and High priest of priests, 9:4); My God of condition and healing, Controller of pestilence and tantalizing plagues, (9:9; 15:26; Yehovah Rapha, Healer); Controller of weather (9:18); God of punishment (9:19).

God then reveals Himself as the Breaker of pride, stubbornness and selfishness (10:3) and the Controller of the movement of plagues and diseases (10:4-20); God of light and darkness (Definer of good and evil, 10:21); God of heights and depths (10:21).

Our God is the Eternal God of restoration, promotion and recompense (Ex. 11:2); God of the firstborn (11:5).

In chapter 12 we see the God of the Passover and the God of redemption (Yehovah Gaal; 12:3); the God of mercy (12:8); God of cleansing and purifying (12:9); God of completeness (12:10); God of holy convocations and feast days (12:11); God of destroying the power of sin (12:15); God of commencing and finishing (12:16); God of permanent ordinances (12:17); God of issuing forth holiness (12:18-22); God of the circumcision (12:48).

God has declared the Sabbath to be holy, and He sets aside other things as holy. He is the God of sanctifications (13:2); God of the covering shade and the flaming pillar of fire (13:21).

More Names to Claim

The above are only a few of the names of God we can claim in the diverse circumstances and challenges of our lives. The power these names have when linked to the Sabbath contract is exponential in its scope. When we join together the challenge we face with the proper contract and the appropriate name of God, claiming the same in prayer, the results of this combined claim of contract promises and God's specific names are powerful. Our qoute melts away like homemade peach ice cream in the sun on a smothering, 97-degree South Carolina day.

In communion for release from trauma, we give other names for Jesus that we can use in distinct circumstances. We repeat together, addressing Jesus with every name, "Jesus, You are my ......God, High Tower, Savior, Support, Rock, Deliverer, Avenger, Light, Path, Love, Bridegroom, Hope, Eternal Life, Substitute, Peace, Fullness, Delight, Thankfulness, Anointing, Sustainer, Partner, Friend, Strength, Power, Authority, Sabbath, Wholeness, Vindication, Helper, Claim, Redeemer, Blessing, Promise, teacher of skills, Jealousy, Contender, Jerusalem (King of Peace for all my affairs), High priest forever, Priestly King."

In the book on healing, we gave some of Jesus' redemptive names, preceded by His name Yehovah, the Eternal, Self-existent One. When we take apart the private letters and combinations of letters in a Hebrew word, we add to the conceptual meaning of the term. In the case of Yhvh, we see the word havah in the last three letters, legitimately that which comes from the nail (that secures or establishes) or exists. The first letter means "hand," so the Eternal is the One whose hand brought all things into existence.

Yhvh also suggests "to come to be known." This shows a God who continually reveals Himself. He revealed Himself to Moses when Moses respected the holy ground. He reveals Himself to His people when they honor His holy Sabbath.

While many claim to be gods or elohim, and God even calls His sons and daughters elohim on the earth (Psalm 82:6; John 10:34), Yehovah is the triune Godhead that brought all things into existence. As the creator Family, They do call themselves Elohim, yet when Jesus formed Adam, He called Himself Yehovah. It is a more intimate name and it indicates His extra association with His people. Interestingly, no other commandment but the Sabbath commandment identifies the true God, the one who made all things. In a psalm often carefully to be a Sabbath psalm and quoted in the Sabbath rest conference in Hebrews, God refers to Himself as Yehovah Osenu, the Eternal our Maker (Ps. 95:6).

God's Names Find Their Fullest Meaning in the Sabbath

Can we begin to see how linked God's names are to His Sabbath? None of His names take on their full meaning unless we are keeping the day that identifies the real Jesus and those who are set apart as holy by Him.

God is the El or one true God above all others who aspire to Godship. The first letter aleph, legitimately meaning "ox," with the idea of strongest and first, combines with the second letter lamed, legitimately "cattle goad" or "rod of authority," and can mean "control, authority, or tongue." God is legitimately the first and prominent authority of the universe, the creator of all things. Jesus is the One whose tongue speaks the authoritative law and Word of God. It was Jesus, as we shall see, that spoke the Sabbath commandment on Sinai.

Jesus is El Shaddai. In ancient times for a king to take a city he had to destroy the door that led into the walled fortress. Shaddai legitimately means "destroy the door." Jesus is a King who takes every other kingdom by force, destroying every door, together with the door to Satan's kingdom. If we want to see Satan under our feet, we must keep the day of the Kingdom, the Sabbath. Shaddai also has the meaning of "many-breasted one," a picturesque way of looking God as both all-sufficient and self-sufficient.

The word shem is the word "name," and when used for the name of God, it legitimately means "destroy chaos." The word shalom, exemplified in the peace of the Sabbath day, legitimately means "destroy the authority (Satan) that causes chaos." And Shabbat means "repent or return to the contract or cross of Jesus (who defeated Satan by His blood)."

While some don't like the idea of keeping the law, we must understand that Jesus is the Law or Torah, which in the word photograph in Hebrew means, "what comes out of the man who was nailed to the cross." That's Jesus. He gave the law and He is the Law, which is love.

Jesus is our Sabbath or Rest. Shabbat means we rest by returning to the covenant, the first one God made with man. Returning or repenting means choosing God's Kingdom over Satan's. Satan has established Sunday as his day, while Jesus made it clear that His Sabbath pictures and explains the names and ways of the true King and His Kingdom. We cannot rest in Jesus, our Sabbath, if we do not rest on Kingdom day.

Jesus is also Yehovah Shalom. We cannot destroy the authority that causes chaos in our lives if we choose to "rest" with Satan on his day. How many Sunday keepers sense a true rest? Jesus says, "Come unto Me and you will find Shabbat shalom, for I am Your Shabbat and Your Shalom."

He is Yehovah Shammah, the God who is all the time there for us or present with us. Yet Jesus says He made the Sabbath holy, so He is present in a extra way with us on His day. His contract promise says He will never leave us or forsake us. A contract works both ways, however. When we find out about His Sabbath, He doesn't want us to forsake the assembling of ourselves together with Him on His day. We must not forsake Him.

Jesus is our Raah or Shepherd, and He makes His sheep lie down in green pastures with Him on His day of rest. Satan wants us to keep his Sunday so we will not be able to be still and know that God is God and that He is Love. We can only know the true creator when we rest at the exact time He did, being still on His Sabbath, getting to know Him.

Raah is legitimately the "man of the eye (letter ayin)," the one who watches out for the sheep. A similar concept is found in Yehovah Yireh (Jehovah Jireh). God sees ahead and knows our every need, already having devised His plan of provision for us. As you will see in this book, God's exquisite will of provision for us is impossible without keeping the day of provision, the Sabbath of "mannafold blessings."

In Jesus' ministry more dramatic healings occurred on the Sabbath than at any other time. healing ministries are discovering inadvertently the Sabbath healing anointing. It is to be expected. After all, Yeshua Rapha, Jesus our Healer, has poured Himself and His healing power into His day.

Our Mighty, Jealous Warrior

Jesus is Yehovah Nissi, the Banner we rally around and seek refuge in so that He will lead us to victory. The word nes (noon samech) has a photograph meaning of "life support," yet its true meaning is an ensign, appropriate of identifying flag of the warrior that we result and who protects us. The same word is used for Jesus as the serpent of sin that was lifted up for us and thus later became our appropriate of righteousness. Since He is our Sabbath, and the Sabbath was a sign in the middle of Jesus and us that He is our God and we are His people (Ex. 31:13), He is our Ensign, Our Identifying Banner of Identity and Victory. We take refuge in Him every Sabbath, being strengthened in Him, the Captain of our Salvation, our grand Warrior and Champion (Isa. 19:20; Jer. 20:11).

Jesus is the "Mighty One of Jacob...the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel..." (Gen. 49:24). He is our "refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). If we dwell intimately with Him on His Sabbath, even an atomic bomb on ground zero will not touch us.

Jesus is our Protector. He is the Captain of the "host of the [Eternal]" (Josh. 5:14) and the "[Eternal] Of Sabaoth [or Tseva'ot, Hosts or armies of heaven]" (Rom. 9:29; Isa. 1:9). While technically we are not the army, we are officers and commanders of the armies of heaven. When we speak out the Word of God, angelic armies are released (Ps. 103:20). We can even call on Jesus Himself to fight for us. We officers meet for education from the consummate Commander and Divine master on His Sabbath. How can we benefit from the fullest protection if we do not dwell in God's inexpressive place of intimacy (Ps. 91:1) on the Sabbath and get our marching or commanding orders from our Righteous Captain on His day?

It is impossible to fully understand and be established in the righteousness of God without keeping the day that Yehovah Tsidkenu inhabits. The Divine master of the Sabbath is Jesus our Righteousness.

Jesus is the "Holy One [Kadosh] of Israel [the believers]" (Ps. 71:22). He expects His saints or holy ones to meet with the Holy One, El Elyon (the Most High God), on His holy day. As we shall see, Makkadesh (or Mekaddishkhem, the Eternal our Sanctifier) sets us apart to be especially holy as we keep His sign in the middle of Him and His people (Ex. 31:13). The only other place where this name is used refers to God sanctifying us as we keep His statutes (Lev. 20:8). In the sequel we shall see that the annual Sabbaths and the laying down of long term burdens to Jesus on the new moons narrate statutes of the fourth commandment (Ii Chron. 2:4).

Another of God's names that applies to the Sabbath is Kannah, Jealous. As the church has unwittingly done today, Israel had made contract with Baal instead of "the [Eternal], whose name is Jealous..." (Ex. 34:14). Respected prophets of God have come against the modern marriage of the church to Baal. They do not yet, however, understand that church as a who has been keeping the feasts of Baal without realizing it. Halloween is only one example. The others explained in the sequel may surprise you.

Jesus is a true Bridegroom who is jealous over His bride. He wants her to worship only Him on His day. He doesn't like being stood up on His weekly date with His beloved. straight through this book we believe He is beginning to woo His bride, weaning her from the day of Baal back to Him in Sabbath intimacy with the Bridegroom (Hos. 2:14-20).

While Baal is referred to as El-berith, the god of the contract (Judges 9:46), that is a name that should apply to Jesus. When we keep a day other than the day He commands, we are in ignorance for the most part manufacture a contract with another god. We are in all sincerity breaking the very first contract God made with man and thus sabotaging all the others. While not going against our free will, Jesus is jealous over us.

Jesus fights for us. He is called Ish Milchamah (Man of War; Ex. 15:3) and El Gibbor, the grand God, the thriving or grand Warrior (Isa. 9:5-6; 10:21; Zeph. 3:17).

But will Jesus give His all for those who do not see Him as their protection (Deut. 32:38, Sithrah) and Hiding Place (Sether, Ps. 32:7) in whom they rest on the Sabbath? In a great chapter to look for names of God, Moses spoke prophetic words even for the church today (Deut. 32:36-39). Jesus will legitimately have compassion on His people when He sees their power is gone trying to rest in the day He did not bless. Finally they will seek Jesus as their "hiding place."

Jesus wants us by His side, studying from Him on His day. After all, He is King of Kings and High Priest. He wants to train us as kings and priests under Him on the day of the Kingdom. As Shepherd of the Sheep, He wants the sheep to show up when He calls them to assemble. As the Bishop and Guardian of our souls, He wants to renew our souls on the Sabbath, the day of refreshing. As Daystar and Light of the World, He wants to shine the light of His truth on us every Sabbath.

How can Jesus be the Chief Cornerstone of the construction that is the church if the church does not present themselves as tantalizing stones on the Sabbath day to be built up spiritually? As the Firstborn and as our Elder Brother, would He not expect fellowship with His brothers and sisters when He calls them to meet with Him? He is Head of the Body. He must ask sometimes, "Where is My body?"

Restorer of Body and Soul

He is the Great doctor and the Sabbath is His healing day par excellence. He wants His people to come to Him for healing of soul and body on His day of healing. He is our Rock of Defense and Stability in the storms of life, and we need the power and withhold He gives us to face the tempest of another week.

As Author and Finisher of our Faith, He wants to build up our faith straight through the Sabbath manna of His Word. As the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world for us, He wants us to remember the Sabbath in the redemptive sense: His blood brought us out of our spiritual "Egypt" of sin (Deut. 5:15). As Emmanuel, God with us, He wants to be with us and us with Him on His day.

As our Burden-bearer, He wants us to lay on Him at the beginning of each Sabbath our weekly load of cares and problems so we can come and rejoice with Him. His joy is our strength. That phrase was written in the context of an annual Sabbath celebration (Neh. 8:10). Our Sabbath songs of joy and our fellowship with God and our spiritual siblings renew our joy and power in Jesus for the advent week.

Let's Get Personal

God's personal names carry great power and anointing and yield intimacy. While elder Brother Jesus sometimes plays the role of Father, our Father Love, Agape, Abba, is called the Father of glory and of lights, Father of the fatherless, Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. He is the ancient of Days, and His Fatherhood supercedes the fatherly aspect of Jesus: "Is not He your Father who has bought (kanah or qanah) you? He has made you and established (kuhn) you (Deut. 32:6)."

The conceptual meanings of kanah as used in this verse are manifold: procure, buy back; been jealous for you; recovered you from a worthless holder (death and Satan); made a plan for your life; given you a destiny; appointed you a time to exist in a confident place; planned for you; gave you authority; caused procedure corrections in your life so you could come to Him; assigned a schedule for you; enabled you to walk with Him; hindered your destroyer; given His Son's life as surety for yours.

This same Hebrew word, also the word for jealous, is used when Jesus as Melchizedek refers to the Father as "God Most High, holder [Kanah] of heaven and earth" (Gen. 14:19). The conceptual meaning in this context is: originate a contract for ownership; take away from one not grand (Satan); receive from a worthless owner; redeem for a rightful owner; redeem in truth.

Melchizedek was one of Jesus' names. It means King of Righteousness. Jesus in that human form was King of the city of Salem, peace, wholeness or perfection. Jerusalem was thus prophesied to be the city of the exquisite King of Peace. Abraham added to the name Salem by declaring Mount Moriah to be called Yehovah Yireh, thus the Yeru or Jeru of Jerusalem. Yireh means "see" or "vision." So the city and Jesus Himself are referred to as our Jerusalem, our vision of peace and perfection. The world will only know Shabbat shalom when Jesus returns to rule the world in peace from Jerusalem. He is the King of shalom for all our affairs and our vision and Hope of Peace for the future.

"Your Father who bought you" is also "your Father who established you" (Deut. 32:6). The word is kuhn and includes: abide in you; gives you clarity of mind; continues with you straight through all trials; lifts you up; pitches a tent around you; raises His arm to defend you; becomes stirred up over you; causes you to result and upholds your righteousness; strengthens you.

While one record in the following verse applies more specifically to Jesus, praise to all members of the Godhead is evident: "For the [Eternal] your God is the God of gods and the [Divine master over all masters], the great, the mighty, and the awesome God..." (Deut. 10:17).

The humble Holy Spirit, who inspired the Word of God, did not give us many of His personal names. He loves to shine the spotlight on Jesus and the Father. He nonetheless does give us a few of His names: Counselor; Comforter; Baptizer; Advocate; Strengthener; Sanctifier; Paraclete or Encourager; Teacher; Guide; Spirit of Truth, of Grace, of Mercy, of God, of Life.

Books could be written about the names of God. If you "google" the phrase "names of God," you will study some of the many names of our God.

God's Names Come Alive in the Sabbath

When Jesus poured Himself into the Sabbath day, He had to include all of who He is -- represented by His names. Without the insight of those names as they recap to the Sabbath, we cannot truly know the real Jesus.

We are granted greater insight and power to use God's names as we keep the Sabbath. His names inevitably tie in with the meaning of the Sabbath. The shalom and sanctification we find in the Sabbath enable us to see Jesus as He legitimately is (Heb. 12:14). As Hagar explained it and as God recorded it, "You are a God who sees [El Roi]." She named the well where she encountered Jesus as Beer-lahai-roi, well of the Living One who sees me. The implication is that God opens our eyes to see Him in His plentifulness and know His Word, which can only occur thoroughly in the context of meeting with Jesus on His day (Col. 2:3).

As our Sabbath and as Divine master of that day, Jesus has come to be a Stumbling Block to many, especially the believers. The good news is: you don't have to stumble anymore.

The encouraging truth is that God is not a harsh, cruel God who loves to find us at fault so He can crush us. He is Love (I John 4:8). And He is, as I know well personally, Eloah Selichot, the God of Forgiveness (Neh. 9:17). He forgives us for being deceived about His day. The Good Shepherd welcomes us into the green pastures of Sabbath rest.

Winter Weather Predictions For 2012

Samsung Galaxy
ItemTitle

Winter weather predictions for 2012 suggest a snowy and cold winter pattern for the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region. Cities such as Chicago and Milwaukee could caress bitterly cold temperatures at times with above mean snowfall. The West Coast could see slightly below mean temperatures with above mean precipitation. Western states such as Nevada, Utah and Arizona and the middle sections of the country are forecast to caress a near normal winter weather pattern. In the southern half of the Us states such as Texas which are experiencing narrative breaking droughts are anticipated for the most part to have above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation. The East Coast should see a more normal winter weather scenario. Floridians should see a relatively dry winter with mild temperatures.

There are many different factors and conditions affecting the weather that must be interpreted before a long range forecast can be issued. As these factors and conditions turn adjustments must be made in the forecast to accurately reflect this. One of the biggest influences over this years winter weather appears to be La Nina. A stronger La Nina ordinarily suggests less precipitation and warmer climatic characteristic for the southern U.S. And colder temperatures and more precipitation in the form of snow across the northern parts of the U.S. along with the Great Lakes region and the Pacific Northwest. This is in line with current winter weather predictions for 2012.

The greatest factor that influences the weather is of course where you live. Other factors which you have no operate over but which influence the weather where you live comprise the puny know but very important Arctic Oscillation, major volcanic eruptions and solar operation just to name a few. The Arctic Oscillation which measures air pressure variances has turned negative which means a greater occasion for cold air to enter the United States from Canada. While important in developing a weather forecast strong Arctic Oscillations can be difficult to forecast to far in advance. While there is still much moot in the scientific society some believe that solar flares and sunspots influence our weather here on earth. Ash and dust introduced into the climate by volcanic eruptions can lower the earths surface temperatures by reducing the amount of sunlight that reaches the earth. There are many other variables in producing the weather you experience.

While you cannot operate the weather you can be prepared for it. Listen to your local forecast when threatening weather is possible especially if you are planning on travelling. Have a urgency kit in your car at all times and use base sense before heading out into inclement weather.

Environmental Abuse

Samsung Galaxy
ItemTitle

Abuse of our environment arises from actions that cannot be sustained by
nature. For instance, if 3 trees are felled in order to make way for a new
house, then nature has lost three trees and any offspring forever. This is not
sustainable.

If, after felling the three trees,  four new trees are planted in an
alternative location where growth and reproductive prospects are the same as in
the old location, then this is sustainable. Why four trees, you may ask?
Two reasons: 1, because not all saplings survive into maturity, 2. To compensate
for the time lag before the new trees reach the age of those that were
replaced. This is a easy example to expound the point. In
reality, the calculation for restocking tree plantings involves many factors and
is quite a bit more complicated!

Power Stations - a special Case

Another example: if a power station is to be environmentally cordial then it
should either ensure that no pollutants or excess carbon dioxide is pumped into
the environment or take alternative actions that will restore the potential of the
environment. Historically we know this has not been achieved. If the cost of
making power stations environmentally sustainable was reasonable then we would
have done it long ago. The fact that this is a widely known qoute has led to a
major misconception across community that being environmentally cordial costs money.
This is naturally not the case. Contemporary power stations are generally far kinder to
the environment than older ones. They still pollute the environment, but not
nearly as much as the older ones did. To translate the power station experience
to other aspects of life, and business in particular, is a mistake.

Pollution Production

Pollutants are unwanted bi-products. They have been produced and this
production has cost money. Trash that goes into land-fill is a bi-product of
goods that we want. This trash is made up primarily of packaging. Somebody went
to the trouble of production the packaging, using important energy and probably
emitting some pollution in the process. Somebody else went to the trouble of
purchasing this packaging - then, at the end of its life it is dumped. The same principle can be
applied to all pollution. It has been produced and paid for. To say, therefore, that
pollution reduction costs money is illogical.

Improving Power Stations

Let's apply this logic to power
stations: virtually all power stations nearby the world are pumping out
particles into the air as a bi-product. Older stations (especially coal-fired
ones) are pumping out relatively large particles compared to Contemporary stations.
These large particles are responsible for seeding rain clouds and changing
weather patterns. If all these particles, large and small, were added up and
weighed, you can imagine that they would add up to thousands of tons a day that
are being pumped upwards - and ultimately falling back down again. This is like
chartering 100's of airliners every day to take off loaded with tons of carbon
particles and then letting them free into the atmosphere. Old power stations
were built this way, when pollution and waste was not the main consideration.
Most countries nearby the world have brought in legislation to curb these
emissions, along with sulphur, mercury and other harmful substances and things
are enhancing all the time. I would mouth though, that in time, this would
have happened through shop forces. For example, another bi-product of coal
fired power stations - fly ash - is now routinely made into bricks for building
construction and is also used in road construction. Contemporary power stations also
recycle much of the heat produced in emissions as a way to improve
efficiency.  Many also heat local homes and businesses, together with the power
station itself, using this heat output. As I stated, though, power stations are
a special case, and their struggle to be environmentally cordial has led to the
mistaken reliance that environmentally cordial measures are costly.

Conservation

To recycle, and even better, to re-use is no ifs ands or buts preferable to a constant
cycle of dumping old and buying new. An even better way is summed up in an old-fashioned term:
conservation. This is not only the most environmentally sound way to proceed, it
is also the most cost effective. By turning down your thermostat a notch or two,
or by walking instead of driving occasionally; by turning off lights when you
leave an empty room: these may seems small measures to take, but if multiplied
around the world, would make a real unlikeness to the environment. Take travel:
why do we tour so much? Can't some people work from home and therefore avoid
the rush hour and have a better potential of life? Can schools and homes be nearer
to each other? perhaps there should be more/smaller schools and instead of less/larger? In fact, more and smaller of all may not be a bad idea when
considering tour reduction. perhaps the time has come to consider a steep rise in fuel
prices?

Environmental Footprint

Most production activities, and increasingly most of our everyday activities
have a so-called environmental "footprint". This footprint is a
measure of the follow of an operation on the environment. When we take out then we
should give back. Just as new trees are planted to replace those that have been
felled, so we should make amends when we pollute our environment. better still,
though, is the idea that we make no footprint in the first place. The question
is: why were the trees felled in the first place?

Introduction and Brief History of Satellites

A satellite is any object that orbits other object (which is known as its primary). All masses that are part of the solar system, together with the Earth, are satellites either of the Sun, or satellites of those objects, such as the Moon. It is not always a easy matter to conclude which is the 'satellite' in a pair of bodies. Because all objects exert gravity, the appeal of the former object is also affected by the satellite. If two objects are ufficiently similar in mass, they are generally referred to as a binary principles rather than a former object and satellite. The general criterion for an object to be a satellite is that the town of mass of the two objects is inside the former object. In beloved usage, the term 'satellite' normally refers to an synthetic satellite (a artificial object that orbits the Earth or other body).

In May, 1946, the preliminary build of an Experimental World-Circling Spaceship stated, "A satellite vehicle with approved instrumentation can be staggering to be one of the most potent scientific tools of the Twentieth Century. The achievement of a satellite craft would furnish repercussions comparable to the explosion of the atomic bomb..."

The space age began in 1946, as scientists began using captured German V-2 rockets to make measurements in the upper atmosphere. Before this period, scientists used balloons that went up to 30 km and radio waves to study the ionosphere. From 1946 to 1952, upper-atmosphere explore was conducted using V-2s and Aerobee rockets. This allowed measurements of atmospheric pressure, density, and temperature up to 200 km. The U.S. Had been inspecting launching orbital satellites since 1945 under the Bureau of Aeronautics of the United States Navy. The Air Force's project Rand eventually released the above report, but did not believe that the satellite was a inherent military weapon; rather they carefully it to be a tool for science, politics, and propaganda. Following pressure by the American Rocket Society, the National Science Foundation, and the International Geophysical Year, military interest picked up and in early 1955 the Air Force and Navy were working on project Orbiter, which involved using a Jupiter C rocket to originate a small satellite called Explorer 1 on January 31, 1958.

On July 29, 1955, the White House announced that the U.S. Intended to originate satellites by the spring of 1958. This became known as project Vanguard. On July 31, the Soviets announced that they intended to originate a satellite by the fall of 1957 and on October 4, 1957 Sputnik I was launched into orbit, which triggered the Space Race in the middle of the two nations.

The largest synthetic satellite currently orbiting the earth is the International Space Station, which can sometimes be seen with the unaided human eye.

Types of satellites

· Astronomical satellites: These are satellites used for consideration of distant planets, galaxies, and other outer space objects.

· Communications satellites: These are synthetic satellites stationed in space for the purposes of telecommunications using radio at microwave frequencies. Most communications satellites use geosynchronous orbits or near-geostationary orbits, although some modern systems use low Earth-orbiting satellites.

· Earth consideration satellites are satellites specifically designed to inspect Earth from orbit, similar to reconnaissance satellites but intended for non-military uses such as environmental monitoring, meteorology, map making etc. (See especially Earth Observing System.)

· Navigation satellites are satellites which use radio time signals transmitted to enable mobile receivers on the ground to conclude their exact location. The relatively clear line of sight in the middle of the satellites and receivers on the ground, combined with ever-improving electronics, allows satellite navigation systems to portion location to accuracies on the order of a few metres in real time.

· Reconnaissance satellites are Earth consideration satellite or communications satellite deployed for military or brain applications. Slight is known about the full power of these satellites, as governments who operate them normally keep facts pertaining to their reconnaissance satellites classified.

· Solar power satellites are proposed satellites built in high Earth orbit that use microwave power transmission to beam solar power to very large antenna on Earth where it can be used in place of conventional power sources.

· Space stations are artificial structures that are designed for human beings to live on in outer space. A space station is powerful from other manned spacecraft by its lack of major propulsion or landing facilities -- instead, other vehicles are used as converyance to and from the station. Space stations are designed for medium-term living in orbit, for periods of weeks, months, or even years.

· Weather satellites are satellites that primarily are used to monitor the weather and/or atmosphere of the Earth.

· Miniaturized satellites are satellites of unusually low weights and small sizes. New classifications are used to categorize these satellites: minisatellite (500-200 kg), microsatellite (below 200 kg), nanosatellite (below 10 kg).

Orbit types

Many times satellites are characterized by their orbit. Although a satellite may orbit at almost any height, satellites are generally categorized by their altitude:

· Low Earth Orbit (Leo: 200 - 1200km above the Earth's surface)

· Medium Earth Orbit (Ico or Meo: 1200 - 35286 km)

· Geosynchronous Orbit (Geo: 35786 km above Earth's surface) and Geostationary Orbit ( zero inclination geosynchronous orbit). These orbits are of singular interest for communication satellites and will be discussed in detail later.

· High Earth Orbit (Heo: above 35786 km)

The following orbits are special orbits that are also used to categorize satellites:

· Molniya orbits: Is a class of a very elliptic orbit. A satellite settled in this orbit spends most of its time over a designated area of the earth, a phenomenon known as apogee dwell. Molniya orbits are named after a series of Soviet/Russian Molniya communications satellites that have been using this class of orbits since the mid 1960s.

· Heliosynchronous or sun-synchronous orbit: A heliosynchronous orbit, or more generally a sun-synchronous orbit is an orbit in which an object always passes over any given point of the Earth's surface at the same local solar time. This is a beneficial characteristic for satellites that image the earth's surface in illustrated or infrared wavelengths (e.g. weather, spy and remote sensing satellites).

· Polar orbit : A satellite in a polar orbit passes above or nearly above both poles of the planet (or other celestial body) on each revolution.

· Hohmann replacement orbit: For this singular orbit type, it is more common to recognize the satellite as a spacecraft. In astronautics and aerospace engineering, the Hohmann replacement orbit is an orbital maneuver that moves a spacecraft from one orbit to another.

· Supersynchronous orbit or drift orbit : orbit above Geo. Satellites will drift in a westerly direction.

· Subsynchronous orbit or drift orbit: orbits close to but below Geo. Used for satellites undergoing station changes in an eastern direction.

Communication Satellites

A communications satellite (sometimes abbreviated to comsat) is an synthetic satellite stationed in space for the purposes of telecommunications. Contemporary communications satellites use geosynchronous orbits, Molniya orbits or low Earth orbits.

For fixed services, communications satellites furnish a technology complementary to that of fiber optic submarine communication cables. For mobile applications, such as communications to ships and planes satellite based communicationis only the viable means of communications as application of other technologies, such as cable, are impractical or impossible.

Early missions: The origin of satellite communication can be traced to an report written by Arthur C. Clarke in 1945. He recommend that a radio relay satellite in an equatorial orbit with a period of 24 hours would remain stationary with respect to earth's surface and can be used for long-range radio communication, as it will over come the limitations imposed by earth curvature. Sputnik 1, The world's first synthetic (non communication) satellite, was launched on October 4, 1957. The first satellite to relay communications was project Score in 1958, which used a tape recorder to store and transmit voice messages. It was used to send a Christmas greeting to the world from President Eisenhower. Nasa launched an Echo satellite in 1960. This 100-foot aluminized Mylar balloon served as a passive reflector for radio communications. Courier 1B, (built by Philco) also was launched in 1960, was the world's first active repeater satellite. Given below are the details of milestones in satellite communcation history: -

· Herman Potocnik - describes a space station in geosynchronous orbit - 1928

· Arthur C. Clarke - proposes a station in geosynchronous orbit to relay communications and broadcast television - 1945

· Project Score - first communications satellite - 1958

· Echo I - first passive reflector satellite - August 1960

· Courier 1B - first active repeater satellite - October 1960

· Telstar - the first active direct relay satellite designed to transmit television and high-speed data communications. Telstar was settled in an elliptical orbit (completed once every 2 hours and 37 minutes), rotating at a 45° angle above the equator. July 1962

· Syncom - first communications satellite in geosynchronous orbit. Syncom 2 revolved around the earth once per day at constant speed, but because it still had north-south appeal special tool was needed to track it. 1963

· Oscar-Iii - first amateur radio communications satellite - March 1965

· Molniya - first Soviet communication satellite, very elliptic orbit - October 1965

· Early Bird - Intelsat's first satellite for commercial aid - April 1965

· Orbita - first national Tv network based on satellite television - November 1967

· Anik 1 - the first national satellite television system, Canada, - 1973

· Westar 1, the Usa's first geosynchronous communications satellite - April 1974

· Ekran - first serial Direct-To-Home Tv communication satellite 1976

· Palapa A1 - first Indonesia communications satellite - July 8 1976

· Tdrss - first satellite designed to furnish communications relay services for other spacecraft. - 1983

· Mars Global Surveyor - first communications satellite in orbit around other planet (Mars) - 1997

· Cassini spacecraft relays to Earth images from the Huygens probe as it lands on Saturn's moon, Titan, the longest relay to date. -- January 14, 2005

Depending on the need the communication satellites can be settled in varied types of orbits. We discuss few common types: -

(a) Geostationary orbits Satellites: A satellite in a geostationary orbit appears to be in a fixed position to an earth-based observer. A geostationary satellite revolves around the earth at a constant speed once per day over the equator. The geostationary orbit is beneficial for communications applications because ground based antennae, which must be directed toward the satellite, can operate effectively without the need for costly tool to track the satellite's motion. Especially for applications that want a large estimate of ground antennae (such as direct Tv distribution), the savings in ground tool can more than elaborate the extra cost and onboard complexity of lifting a satellite into the relatively high geostationary orbit.

The understanding of the geostationary communications satellite was first proposed by Arthur C. Clarke, building on work by Konstantin Tsiolkovsky and on the 1929 work by Herman Potočnik (writing as Herman Noordung) Das problem der Befahrung des Weltraums - der Raketen-motor. In October 1945 Clarke published an report titled "Extra-terrestrial Relays" in the British magazine Wireless World. The report described the fundamentals behind the deployment of synthetic satellites in geostationary orbits for the purpose of relaying radio signals. Thus Arthur C. Clarke is often quoted as being the originator of the communications satellite.

The first geostationary communications satellite was Anik 1, a Canadian satellite launched in 1972. The United States launched their own geostationary communication satellites afterward, with Western Union launching their Westar 1 satellite in 1974, and Rca Americom (later Ge Americom, now Ses Americom) launching Satcom 1 in 1975.
It was Satcom 1 that was instrumental in helping early cable Tv channels such as Wtbs (now Tbs Superstation), Hbo, Cbn (now Abc Family), and The Weather Channel become successful, because these channels distributed their programming to all of the local cable Tv headends using the satellite. Additionally, it was the first satellite used by broadcast Tv networks in the United States, like Abc, Nbc, and Cbs, to distribute their programming to all of their local affiliate stations. The reason that Satcom 1 was so widely used is that it had twice the communications capacity of Westar 1 (24 transponders as opposed to Westar 1's 12), which resulted in lower transponder usage costs.

By 2000 Hughes Space and Communications (now Boeing Satellite Systems) had built nearly 40 percent of the satellites in aid worldwide. Other major satellite manufacturers comprise Space Systems/Loral, Lockheed Martin (owns previous Rca Astro Electronics/Ge Astro Space business), Northrop Grumman, Alcatel Space and Eads Astrium.

(b) Low-Earth-orbiting satellites: A low Earth orbit typically is a circular orbit about 150 kilometers above the earth's surface and, correspondingly, a period (time to revolve around the earth) of about 90 minutes. Because of their low altitude, these satellites are only illustrated from within a radius of almost 1000 kilometers from the sub-satellite point. In addition, satellites in low earth orbit turn their position relative to the ground position quickly. So even for local applications, a large estimate of satellites are needed if the mission requires uninterrupted connectivity.

Low earth orbiting satellites are less costly to position in space than geostationary satellites and, because of their closer nearnessy to the ground, want lower signal strength. So there is a trade off in the middle of the estimate of satellites and their cost. In addition, there are prominent differences in the onboard and ground tool needed to preserve the two types of missions.

A group of satellites working in concert thus is known as a satellite constellation. Two such constellations which were intended for provision for hand held telephony, primarily to remote areas, were the Iridium and Globalstar. The Iridium principles has 66 satellites. other Leo satellite constellation, with backing from Microsoft entrepreneur Paul Allen, was to have as many as 720 satellites. It is also inherent to offer discontinuous coverage using a low Earth orbit satellite capable of storing data received while passing over one part of Earth and transmitting it later while passing over other part. This will be the case with the Cascade principles of Canada's Cassiope communications satellite.

(c) Molniya satellites: As mentioned, geostationary satellites are constrained to operate above the equator. As a consequence, they are not always suitable for providing services at high latitudes: for at high latitudes a geostationary satellite may appear low on (or even below) the horizon, affecting connectivity and causing multipathing (interference caused by signals reflecting off the ground into the ground antenna). The first satellite of Molniya series was launched on April 23, 1965 and was used for experimental transmission of Tv signal from Moscow uplink station to downlink stations, settled in Russian Far East, in Khabarovsk, Magadan and Vladivostok. In November of 1967 Soviet engineers created a unique principles of national Tv network of satellite television, called Orbita that was based on Molniya satellites.

Molniya orbits can be an arresting alternative in such cases. The Molniya orbit is very inclined, guaranteeing good elevation over excellent positions while the northern portion of the orbit. (Elevation is the extent of the satellite's position above the horizon. Thus a satellite at the horizon has zero elevation and a satellite directly overhead has elevation of 90 degrees). Furthermore, the Molniya orbit is so designed that the satellite spends the great majority of its time over the far northern latitudes, while which its ground footprint moves only slightly. Its period is one half day, so that the satellite is ready for operation over the targeted region for eight hours every second revolution. In this way a constellation of three Molniya satellites (plus in-orbit spares) can furnish uninterrupted coverage.

Molniya satellites are typically used for telephony and Tv services over Russia. other application is to use them for mobile radio systems (even at lower latitudes) since cars traveling through urban areas need access to satellites at high elevation in order to obtain good connectivity, e.g. In the nearnessy of tall buildings.

Applications of Satellites

(a) Telephony: One of the major applications of a communication satellite is in provision of long distance telephone services. The connectivity is through frequency department many access (Fdma) or time department many access(Tdma) predominantly. Telephone subscribers can be linked through a network of exchanges which are in turn linked to satellite earth stations which uplink the traffic to satellite for added processing.

(b) Television and Radio: There are two types of satellites used for television and radio:

(i) Direct Broadcast Satellite (Dbs): A direct broadcast satellite is a communications satellite that transmits to small Dbs satellite dishes (usually 18" to 24" in diameter). Direct broadcast satellites generally operate in the upper portion of the Ku band. Dbs technology is used for Dth-oriented (Direct-To-Home) satellite Tv services, such as DirecTv and Dish Network in the United States, ExpressVu in Canada, and Sky Digital in the Uk.

(ii) Fixed aid Satellite (Fss): Use the C band, and the lower portions of the Ku bands. They are normally used for broadcast feeds to and from television networks and local affiliate stations (such as program feeds for network and syndicated programming, live shots, and backhauls), as well as being used for distance learning by schools & universities, business television (Btv), videoconferencing, and general commercial telecommunications. Fss satellites are also used to distribute national cable channels to cable Tv headends. Fss satellites differ from Dbs satellites in that they have a lower Rf power yield than the latter, requiring a much larger dish for reception (3 to 8 feet in diameter for Ku band, and 12 feet on up for C band). Fss satellite technology was also originally used for Dth satellite Tv from the late 1970s to the early 1990s in the Usa in the form of Tvro (TeleVision Receive Only) receivers and dishes (a.k.a. Big-dish, or more pejoratively known as big ugly dish, systems). It was also used in its Ku band form for the now-defunct Primestar satellite Tv service.

(c) mobile satellite technologies: Initially ready for broadcast to stationary Tv receivers, by 2004 beloved mobile direct broadcast applications made their appearance with that coming of two satellite radio systems in the United States: Sirius and Xm Satellite Radio Holdings. Some manufacturers have also introduced special antennas for mobile reception of Dbs television. Using Gps technology as a reference, these antennas automatically re-aim to the satellite no matter where or how the vehicle (that the antenna is mounted on) is situated. These mobile satellite antennas are beloved with some recreational vehicle owners. Such mobile Dbs antennas are also used by JetBlue Airways for DirecTv (supplied by LiveTv, a subsidiary of JetBlue), which passengers can view on-board on Lcd screens mounted in the seats.

(d) Amateur radio: Amateur radio operators have access to the Oscar satellites that have been designed specifically to carry amateur radio traffic. Most such satellites operate as space borne repeaters, and are generally accessed by amateurs adequate with Uhf or Vhf radio tool and very directional antennas such as Yagis or dish antennas. Due to the limitations of ground-based amateur equipment, most amateur satellites are launched into fairly low Earth orbits, and are designed to deal with only a Slight estimate of brief contacts at any given time. Some satellites also furnish data-forwarding services using the X.25 or similar protocols.

Satellite Broadband Services: In modern years, satellite communication technology has been used as a means to connect to the Internet via broadband data connections. This is can be very beneficial for users to test who are settled in very remote areas, and can't access a wireline broadband or dialup connection.

Countries with satellite originate capability

This list includes counties with an independent potential to place satellites in orbit, together with yield of the important originate vehicle. Naples Florida weather is startling for the majority of the year, and the splendid sunshine ensures a frightful time, while enjoying your beach vacation.

Sun seekers flock to Naples because they know that the weather is startling and the temperatures moderate and warm. The weather in Naples is considered sub-tropical, and there are months when vacationing on the beach is best.

The Climate
When planning your vacation, it is prominent to understand where Naples is placed and the type of weather that it experiences. The Naples Florida weather falls into two clear seasons. The winters are dry and warm, and the summers can be very hot and humid. However, folks tour to Naples while both seasons, as there is abundance to do in Naples year-round on the beaches, which receive diplomatic breezes from the Gulf of Mexico.

Summer Weather
With the hot, humid temperatures, the summers often bring rainfall, which contributes to the already humid conditions. However, the Naples weather and rain pattern, is not like rain that you may have experienced before. Although the rain will come down heavily, storms commonly never last for long and the rain will dry up remarkably quickly. This allows you to return to the outdoors, to enjoy the startling sunshine and temperatures that Naples offers.

Temperatures in Naples
The allembracing temperatures and atmosphere in Naples are generally very pleasant, ensuring near excellent weather at most any time of year. while the summer months in Naples, the temperatures range in the middle of 83-90F with the water temperature being a splendid 62-72F. The water temperatures are quite consistent and even while the winter months, they are unbelievably warm. You will de facto never caress cold water in Naples, when enjoying the waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Hurricane Season
Florida hurricane season is typically from June until November and can influence Naples Florida weather. Although the hurricanes are more likely to occur while this season, they can happen at any time. Most vacationers that visit Naples while hurricane season will not caress this greatest weather. Naples ranks as highly low in vulnerability to hurricanes. The odds of experiencing a hurricane while visiting while the actual hurricane season, is very rare.

Florida Red Tide
The Florida Red Tide is a natural phenomenon, which is caused by the warm water and an abundance of nutrients, in the Gulf of Mexico. Although there is no evidence that it is unsafe to swim in the water when an occasional bloom is occurring, it is a good idea to avoid swimming.
